About the Award
Between September and November last year, each one of the establishments in this directory was anonymously assessed on its beef and lamb main course dishes. Only those that reached a sufficiently high standard have received the 2009 New Zealand Beef & Lamb Hallmark of Excellence.

The Hallmark is designed to acknowledge a consistently high standard of beef and lamb cuisine. These restaurants have not been compared with each other in the assessment process. Rather, they have been judged on their individual merits.

Whenever you see the Hallmark of Excellence, you can expect tasty, skilfully composed and superbly presented beef and lamb dishes.
