An impressive, full-bodied Sauvignon Blanc, the Montana Letter Series ‘B’ Brancott Sauvignon Blanc 07 pairs perfectly with White’s Pacific tuna seared with slow-heated vegetables, beetroot puree and soy and balsamico reduction. ‘It has restrained herbal characters and an earthiness that matches well with the beetroot and asparagus,’ says Cristiano. ‘And the sweetness of the tuna still comes through beautifully.’   Patrick Materman, Regional Winemaker at Montana’s Brancott Winery, agrees. ‘This pairing started with the desire to work with two exceptional “Whites”... the best Sauvignon Blanc we could blend from all of Marlborough, matched with an exquisite dish from the renowned restaurant White. Both complement each other perfectly in terms of palate weight and intensity of flavour,’ he says. The Montana Letter Series ‘B’ Brancott Sauvignon Blanc 07 is part of Montana's top varietal range. Using only the grapes from the company’s best vineyards, each wine in the series is made in a distinctive style to let the true varietal expression shine through. Using superbly ripe fruit from exceptional harvests only, master blenders combine parcels from separate vineyards in a region, as well as batches of wine that have been crafted using different techniques.
